I think Sullivan & Cromwell associates will feel their pay structure is fair because firstly, they are well-informed on the job structure and their job evaluation process which underline the pay structure. The pay structure Sullivan & Cromwell’s initially offered for any law school graduate person looks very attractive and sufficient. Though it's not clear how the company evaluate the employee, it seems they are paying as per the knowledge of the employee. Definitely the firm's pay structure seems to be fair as per market comparison while its competitors are reducing pay and cutting jobs, Sullivan and Cromwell are paying handsome to attract new graduates. The firm's pay structure is high.

1. What is the likely result of bidding wars of this type for top brokers? Will most firms benefit? Who will be the winners and losers? What about the brokers?
            The result of bidding war for top brokers will be beneficial to the organization since the payment they are receiving will be higher. The offering for the organization can go up to 3 to 4 times their current value.
            Yes, most of the firms will benefit from bidding war since the market value of the firm will go, the previous owners will get good sum of money out of it.

1. Thinking back to our discussion in the chapter section, Caveat Emptor—Be An Informed Consumer, evaluate whether the replacement of highly paid workers with lower-paid workers did or did not cause Circuit City to perform so poorly. How confident are you in your evaluation? Why? 
            Yes, definitely the replacement of highly paid workers with lower-paid-workers cause Circuit City to perform so poorly. The main reason behind is trying to copy the compensation strategy of its rival Best Buy, which was working in different business strategy.

To what extent is the renewed job growth in the automobile industry in the United States due to the use of two-tier wages?
            The renewed job growth in the automobile industry in the United States after the recession and introduction of two-tier wages and after the contract between GM and the United Auto workers (UAW) has significantly addressed the in equal pay in two tier pay structure. This system has shown a new route of payment to the industries. Though the two-tier wages has shown high difference between the veterans' employee and the new employees pay, it has significantly reduced the labor cost in production of the vehicles which has in turn saved a significant revenue to the company. Also this system turned out to be providing employment for more numbers of labors.
